The musical career of Raivo Tafenau started in 1992 in the Urmas Lattikas band which performed at the EBU Jazz Night live broadcast from Tallinn. In 1993 he played in the local big band in Barcelona, in 1994 in the EBU Big Band in Budapest. He was named the musician of the year in 1993.
